An elderly widow came to us from Private Detectives Agency in Sheffield with the wish of locating a woman unknown to her. Upon the death of her husband three months before an individual was identified and presented in his will who had not yet been located due to legal problems. Despite the apparently open relationship the couple had always had throughout marriage the client had never heard mention of the woman named in the will and no one had been able to make contact with or locate the woman. The client approached us in the hope of identifying the mysterious woman from her husband’s past.

The investigation began with the details that the client had managed to obtain so far in the search for the missing woman. From this information our operatives were able to create a character profile that would begin the search. Though it started as a difficult case our operatives managed to find a possible address for the target belonging to an individual of the same name though no other details were discovered. After consulting with the client it was decided that the best way to proceed would be with surveillance of the property which would establish whether she was the correct party. Evidence was gathered of a young woman living at the property with her family which was accordingly presented to the client in video form. Following her receipt of the evidence the client decided that the best course of action would be to attempt to make contact with the identified individual to ensure that she was the correct woman.

Upon receiving her contact the elderly woman in the property responded immediately stating that she was the sister of the client’s late husband. The news of her husband’s undeclared family came as a great shock to the client and once the two got to know one another they formed a happy relationship and both parties received their share of the will.
