A call came in to Detective Agency Sheffield from a father of three small children who was trying to increase his visitation rights. He was in dispute with his estranged wife and she was unwilling to extend the amount of time he can see his children. He knew she was employing babysitters while she went out instead of letting him look after them and wanted us to document her movements to help prove her unreasonable attitude. He had his suspicions she was spending more and more time with her new partner at his home. He could not prove this himself as she was very secretive.
We suggested that we set up some surveillance on his wife for a period of one week to monitor her movements. From the report our operative gave the client it was evident that our client’s suspicions were entirely true. The babysitter would turn up at 6.00pm on the evenings in question and the Target was followed from her home to an address nearby. On two occasions that week the Target did not return home until 7.00am the following morning in time for the school run. A number of different babysitters were used.
Our client was angry and frustrated to learn this as he had offered so many times to have the children but was rejected. To him it seemed that she would rather leave them with a series of strangers. He was able to use this detailed report in his case for extended custody.
