We were contacted by a man who came to us from Investigator Agency Sheffield with concerns that his father was in a relationship with another woman that his mum did not know about. The client had had his suspicions for some time but had recently been asked by a friend about his parent’s relationship after his father was seen having a meal with another woman. With the concern that his mum would find out from someone else about her husband’s infidelity the client tried to confront his father without result and so came to us to find out the truth.

The investigation began with a consultation with the client on the details of his father’s life and relationships as well as any other details relevant to the case. Following the discussion it was agreed that the most efficient course of action would be to use surveillance to try and witness the client’s father with another woman. Mobile surveillance was used to monitor the individual and evidence of the expected result was soon gained. The client’s father was seen in a local restaurant having dinner with an attractive young woman before they proceeded to a nearby apartment that was later identified as the home she shared with her boyfriend who was also unaware of the relationship.

We presented the client with a full report of the findings if the investigation which included video and photographic evidence of his father with his new female acquaintance. Following the investigation the client was able to sensitively approach his parents with the evidence of the infidelity and help his mother through the difficult period of the divorce.
